Greetings to the world out there and water Baptizm Pt. (1) one

I guess the only way to start this is just start, so i’ll just start.  I’d like to begin by saying that I wish everyone out there the very best of all.  While the issues of the day can get us in a tizzy at times, and we can get a bit miffed with forces we feel that are causing the turmoil and confusion; the fact is, in the end we just care about peoples souls.  More especially if your like me.  I’m Christian, conservative and so far right wing that they had to build a new wing just for me alone.  We’ve been called extremist.  This isn’t true.  The Founding Fathers have been called extremist as well.  That’s not true either.   The lord Jesus has been called an extremist.  He was not extreme.  He was just right.  He was the word of the living God.  He was the messiah; promised from the beginning.  He did come to Earth to save souls, and has saved hundreds of millions during the 2,000 years sense the departure of his body from the Earth.  Otherwise know as the assention.  How does he do this??  Acts 10:43 teaches that we have remission of sins through belief in his name.  1 John 2:2  He (Jesus) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.    Well why am I teaching on this?  Because nothing else matters.  Truly; nothing compares to knowing God.  Nothing you can do, be or have in this life even rates on the ladder with knowing Christ Jesus as lord and savior.  Ones salvation (eternal life) is everything.  When death comes for a believer; regardless of when or how, he knows that he’s going home to God.  In lite of this all else is trivial.

So how do you want your blog to change the world; I was asked.  I want you to believe.  Not only believe, but believe rightly.  Well what do I mean by that?  Christians are saved by grace.  Every believer will admit to this when asked, but at the same time, truly in their heart they are allowing certain legalisms to hinder them from entering Gods house.  Unknowingly they are seeking to be justified by the law.  Many many Christian sects fall into this.  Anything that you accept in your heart as law, is law to you.  Galatians 5:4   NIV You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.  So many church goers are not saved because of this.  As a general rule people belong to their church because their parents did.  This seems to be the most sensitive territory with people.  Thinking that their parents could be wrong about anything.  I have news for you:  Parents can be just as wrong, and just as easy as anyone else.  More especially when they were taught the same thing by their parents.  Well who do we follow as Christians?  Do we follow Jesus, or our parents?  Christ said:  “He that loves Father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me.  Also:  John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:…….    Is the Spirit of truth on you??  If not you should reevaluate your avenue to God.  What do you base your salvation on.  Acts 10:43,44 give the perfect example of just how easily a person can be saved.  “To him gave all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”  These people were saved right here at this point.  They didn’t do anything.  They didn’t say anything.  They believed in the name of Jesus, and “Through his name” had remission of sins.

There be many that teach, that these people were not saved at this point.  That they were not saved until they were baptized in water.  This is not true.  God fell on them here.  God does not dwell in unsaved people.  Romans 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.    Paul is here in effect saying:  “If any man does have the Spirit he is his.”       1 Cor. 12:13  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.                               We are baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit; not by water baptism.    It is extremely important of course for Christians to be baptized in water, in the name of the lord Jesus; but it must be appreciated in the right lite.  It does not effect ones salvation.

Before going on with the discussion on water baptism, I want to enumerate some adverse teachings that are hindering many, reflect on how they most likely came about in the individual, and how they’re hurting them, and how to most easily deal with them.    First; just to enumerate some that I intend to discuss in the future:  1:  Water Baptism being essential to salvation.  2: The keeping of the Sabbath.  3:  Tithing.  4: Calling ones on Earth Father, and all that other stuff they do.  5:  That the spiritual gifts have passed away:  That God doesn’t work in the miraculous any more.  6: That Jesus wasn’t actually the Son of God.  7: That extra biblical writings are needful for the present day.       How do people get into this stuff??  Earlier we said; “like father, like Son, or “Like parents, like child.  People are sensitive here, and very defensive of anything that they’re taught by they’re taught by their parents.  More especially where it concerns their soul.  The Jews demonstrated this defensiveness when they crucified Christ, and persecuted the early church.  The’re couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with the way they believed.  Here they were waiting for the messiah who had been prophesied from the very beginning, and when he came on the scene, they wouldn’t have anything to do with him.  They wanted someone to confirm them as they were.  It wasn’t going to happen.  God says we have to be changed up.     Anyway; what happens in the cults is this:  You see the natural man has a very legalistic mind, and he is also fearful by nature.  From this he has an overwhelming tendancy to make a law book out of the New Testament.  He mistakes this as a certain type of reverence for God.  He feels that he must bind himself to a certain creed, or a topical doctrine in order to please God.  He has to just make his self do stuff to please God.  And he just has to be right; and not only that, he has to be righter than anybody else.  This is a false nobility.  So he takes this doctrine (most of these center on a half dozen, to a dozen verses) that support his “chosen” belief system.  And he develops a doctrine to swear by.  These doctrines get worked on people while they’re young:  Before they’re old enough to understand the gospel, or understand their need to know Jesus.  They’re taught:  “If you don’t believe just this way, your going to be lost.  You can’t go to heaven, if you don’t believe just this way.”  When just the opposite is true.  So then binding themselves to this law, supersedes their heart felt needs.  So they hard in their doctrine, so much that they can’t be crowbarred out of it, to know their maker personally if they will just dispense with their doctrine.  These people have to be enlightened.  Galatians 5:6  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision   has any value.  The only thing that counts is faith working its self in love.  NIV.  If ones faith is in Jesus to forgive his sins, then love is the only law that he should know.

So; we will pick up here tomorrow, and continue the discussion on water baptism.
